The article I read was "Future of Feminism: The Hashtag is Mightier Than the Sword". This was specifically talked about how the internet is a faster and more convenient way of receiving feedback from people. Women are able to immediately express how they feel when their rights are threatened. Normally petitions were usually done by picking up a pen and signing your name on a piece a paper, nowadays you can simply do it online using Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, etc. This is more used because results show that more people would sign petitions online rather than on paper since it's more convenient.
The article also talks about the use of hashtags. Hashtags were mainly used as a number sign. Now people mostly use the hashtag symbol to indicate a serious matter. Which, in a way it's good because women's issues can be more noticeable. I believe that the social networking is good because it's available to more users.
I believe that you are right , most of the time people do say all their feelings online , on there facebook pages etc. But running to the computer is not always good, depending on what you say, posting all your feeling online can affect you in the future as far as jobs. Back then everything was done so differently , thats why i believe that its important for women to learn about technology, because you will miss out on a lot of these.
